Booking Info & Policies

To ensure a smooth and stress-free wedding day experience, please review the following booking policies before reserving your date. Full terms and conditions will be provided in your booking contract.

Reserving Your Wedding Date

  • A signed contract and a non-refundable, non-transferable booking fee equal to 20% of your total balance are required to reserve your wedding date.

  • Dates are not held without both the signed contract and booking fee.

  • The booking fee is applied toward your final balance.

Final Payment

  • Final payment is due one day before the wedding date.

  • Late payments are subject to a $15 per day late fee.

Changes to Your Booking

  • Service counts, schedules, locations, and other booking details may be adjusted up to 60 days before the wedding date.

  • Major adjustments or changes requested after the 60-day deadline may not be accommodated.

  • Approved contract amendments are subject to a $10 administrative fee per amendment.

  • All change requests must be submitted in writing via email.

Cancellations & Reductions

  • Because your wedding date is reserved exclusively for you, the cost of services cancelled after contract signing remain the responsibility of the client.

  • Substitutions may be permitted when replacing one person with another receiving the same service, subject to approval.

Wedding Day Timing

  • Ready times are approximate and depend on all clients being present, prepared, and available at their scheduled service times.

  • While we may try to accommodate add-on services when possible, Kate and any additional stylists are only responsible for services specifically listed in the contract.

Travel, Parking & Setup Requirements

For on-location services, clients are responsible for:

  • Providing a safe, clean preparation area.

  • Providing adequate table or countertop space OR adequate space for our portable tables & chairs.

  • Providing access to functional electrical outlets.

  • Providing parking within 100 feet of the preparation area.

  • Covering valet or paid parking fees when applicable.

If convenient parking is not available, additional parking fees may apply.

Allergies & Medical Conditions

  • Any known cosmetic allergies or medical conditions that may affect services must be disclosed before services are performed.

  • Clients with product sensitivities may be asked to provide alternative products if necessary.

Photos & Social Media

  • By booking, clients grant permission for Makeup by Kate to photograph and/or record completed hair and makeup services for portfolio, marketing, website, and social media use.

  • Professional wedding photos may also be used with photographer approval.

Unexpected Emergencies

In the rare event that illness, severe weather, or other circumstances beyond anyone's control prevent services from being performed:

  • Every effort will be made to secure a qualified replacement artist.

  • If a replacement cannot be secured, any booking fee paid will be refunded.

  • If a wedding must be postponed due to qualifying circumstances outside the client's control, the booking fee may be transferred to a new date within one year, subject to availability.

Professional Environment

To ensure a positive experience for everyone, Makeup by Kate reserves the right to discontinue services in situations involving unsafe conditions, harassment, hostility, threats, or abusive behavior toward artists or stylists.
